Aadhaar is a 12-digit identification number given to every citizen of India based on their biometric and demographic data. The 12-digit number will be unique for every individual. The Aadhar card number is being issued and managed by UIDAI (Unique Identification Authority of India). It helps in offering a well-organized and transparent governance by ruling out unethical practices and corruption to a large extent. This is because each resident is offered a unique identification number. It is mandatory to have an Aadhaar knowing the increasing importance and launching of different government-based schemes today.
